Reducing the risk of intentional domino effects in process plants: A risk‐based minimax strategy

Compared with safety assessment, security risk assessment in chemical and process plants is more challenging. On top of uncertain environmental operational parameters interdependent failures, which are common the complex systems infrastructures, there other such as likelihood attack scenarios attackers' expected outcomes. As such, application probabilistic (PRA) techniques, have long been applied to management, management may result nonoptimal or suboptimal decisions. In present study, we will demonstrate how a combination PRA game theory outperform lead cost-effective allocation measures. For this purpose, outcome dynamic Bayesian network—as technique—is used input minimax strategy—as theoretic strategy—for tank terminal under attacks homemade bomb. The proposed risk-based strategy alleviates need for estimation likelihoods attacker payoffs, would otherwise too challenging estimate if analyst solely depended on technique.
